At the beginning and end of each month it is a lot more structured than it is during the month. We have been working on our expenses process and purchase ordering system to make things simple and straightforward for everyone.

What do you like most about your job?

I have a lot of autonomy which is great, and also knowing that Concirrus is a growing company and that I can be around to grow with it.

What did you do before Concirrus?

Before Concirrus I spent a few years contracting because I was looking for the right place to settle in. Concirrus was that place and I’m really glad to be here permanently!

Fun fact:

I can name the song or artist of any pop song over a 20-year period after only listening to 5 seconds of it.

John Doyle

Junior Designer - London
Department: Product Design

What does a typical day look like?

Its always changing! Some days it will be scoping out potential new features for our clients and bringing these to life whilst other days I focus on improving the user experience for our existing product.

What do you most like about your job?

I like the problem-solving aspect of the job and how every day is different. Trying to find new solutions to the big problems is really rewarding. I love working with clients and helping ensure our product fits their needs.

What did you do before Concirrus?

I had graduated from Loughborough University, with a degree in Product Design a couple of months before starting here! I had previous experience in working as a CGI artist for a year, as well as industrial design and graphics design.

Fun fact

I have always played a wide range of sports (Golf, Hockey, Football, Boxing ) When I was younger, I used to work as a golf caddy! I also love photography as well as travelling.

Anita Lam

What did you do before Concirrus?

My last role was as a Product Owner for the Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Prior to that, I worked in Australia as a Product Manager for a low cost airline selling all those extras that you don’t think you need.

Fun fact

The biggest splash and most unpopular product I’ve ever brought to market was a new airline policy that started charging for infants travelling domestically around Australia. It must have been a slow day because it made the news, featured as a question on a prime time current affairs quiz show and I became known amongst my friends as “the one who charges for babies”. In my defence, the infant fee includes an extremely generous luggage allowance for prams, car seats etc…
